Rural Water District 6 orders mandatory water restrictions

The Rural Water District #6 in Okmulgee County is issuing Mandatory Water restrictions effective immediately due to drought conditions.

Officials ask customers curtail wasteful use of water, such as lawn sprinklers, outside watering with hoses and washing vehicles. Outside watering is permissible by container(s) only.

Officials have determined the following penalties for non-compliance:

1st Offense- Verbal Warning

2nd Offense- $250.00 Fine

3rd Offense- $500.00 Fine

4th Offense- Meter Pulled
