The Rogers County Sheriff's Office will ramp up enforcement of traffic safety violations like intoxication, tailgating, speeding and aggressive driving.
They will have additional Deputies patrolling the streets of Rogers County in high risk locations during times when most incidents that involve alcohol occur.
Sheriff Scott Walton's goal is to decrease the number of injuries and deaths connected with social hosting and drunk driving.
"Oklahoma’s Social Host law puts a shared responsibility for underage drinking on the person providing the location for the gathering. Adults or minors can be cited and fined under the Social Host law." (For more information concerning Oklahoma's Social Hosting Law: http://www.oklahomasocialhost.com/about-the-law/)
Please be responsible and if you plan on drinking, have a designated driver so everyone can have a safe and happy New Year's Eve.
