The U.S. Marshals and Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a cold case fugitive.

A $2500 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of Timothy Curtis Peterson. Peterson is wanted for assault and battery by force likely to produce death, robbery by force and fear, grand larceny, and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Investigators say Peterson assaulted his 70-year old grandfather and left him for dead, stole $2000 from his grandfather and his truck. The victim had a concussion, broken nose, broken leg and arm, and numerous stitches for wounds all over his body.

Investigators also say Peterson is a sex offender who has failed to register since 2009. He is considered extremely dangerous. Peterson was last seen in the Longtown area.
