I'm sitting here reading these comments about how one race or another is blamed for what is happening. Now I'm not saying that there isn't racism in the U.S. today, and I'm not saying that one race is being color-blind as to the fact that this road goes both ways. These events (the TreVon and Good Friday killings) have brought to the forefront things that have been simmering under the surface of our society at large. In the TreVon case I would like to point out that we are guaranteed that everyone is innocent until proven guilty. So everyone SHUT UP and WAIT until all the information is in before you execute a person on the alter of racism. In the Good Friday killings, the little jerks confessed to doing these deeds so GET OVER YOURSELVES AND LET JUSTICE RUN IT'S COURSE!! To African-Americans I say this: I believe that the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. would be rolling over in his grave to see his speeches fall on so many deaf ears and be twisted so perversely by those who were alive to hear them. To Caucasians: If we think that we have moved beyond racism, we are sadly mistaken. Grow up and stop acting like children.

Jesse Jerkson and Al Sharpless are the biggest racebaiters and racists on the planet. We don't need either one of them sticking their noses in here and stirring up a big mess. Yes, the shootings on Good Friday were senseless and uncalled for. May the criminals get what they deserve. As for the Martin/Zimmerman case; Martin got what he asked for. He had no right prowling around in a gated community. Zimmerman had every right to keep an eye on him, and when the 911 dispatcher told him to back off, he did. Witnesses saw Martin attack Zimmerman and beat his head into the concrete. When he pulled his gun, Martin went for it. Had Martin got the gun, Zimmerman would be dead. This was self defense, and the "Stand Your Ground" law had nothing to do with it. He was not standing his ground, he was saving his life. The thug would have caused serious permanent injury, if not death, had Zimmerman not shot him. The Sanford DA saw no reason to charge him, so it has been picked up by that state attorney in order to stir up more tention and publicity. These liberals don't want equality, they want superiority. That's what this "hate crime" garbage is all about; to punish more severely those who commit crimes against minorities, or gays. Crime is crime, and all should be punished equally. It's already against the law to murder someone, but it's only a "hate crime" if a white commits it against a non-white. It doesn't matter when a black kills a white, like the blacks who burned the white boy to death in Florida and said,"That's what you get for being white". Wrong is wrong, and there should be no preference of punishment for anyone. We are all supposed to be equal. No race suffers more than another when a loved one is killed. Crime and pain have no racial boundaries. We all bleed red. It seems ovomit wants to stir up a race war so he can implement martial law, and the race hustlers are glad to help him. If Zimmerman is not convicted, which he shouldn't be, watch for the riots.

I read comments in both Tulsa world and here. There is a lot of hate that comes from a lot of the comments. Racism is still alive and will probably still be here when I am dead and gone. When you have a guilty conscious you hate to hear the truth. I agree what happen to Englands father was wrong but blame the prosecuting attorney who made the deal with the man who killed England's father. The Law is the Law and it doesn't give anyone the right to go out and kill just because.

If Jessee Jackson & Al Sharpton came here to stir up trouble, the blood will be on their hands !!! I don't go looking for trouble but there was a motto when I was in the Air Force; "Peace Through Superior Firepower". Why Is it a Hate crime when caucasion people kill blacks but when african americans kill whites, there is no mention of race at all ??? So many caucasion people say equality but why is there a need for BET, AFLCIO, NAACP, I Can go on if You need but if you want equality; Get off food stamps & Get a f****n JOB. I for one have several rounds of ammo stashed & will not be more than 6 inches away from my 40 till this blows over. If it does. The black panthers go on TV with their BS & nobody says a word about the racism. TREVON MARTIN got what he deserved. See it for what it is The little b*****d was out BS'n around in someones backyard & got caught. He was kicked out of school for weed so obviously, he was no "angel". I say this to all media sources, STOP showing that picture of some little kid & show his mug shot where he was busted for that very same weed at school. This has been censored for content

I am so glad Reverend Jackson came to Tulsa today. Tulsa and Oklahoma in general needs support in so many ways. All that is on the radio here is the fat-one (who shall not be named because it is so foul) and then there is Fox News -- to which I'm sure everyone has been mesmerized by and of course believes every word they say. Try NPR or PBS if you want the factual truth Okies or let in some other talkers on the radio that just might have another point of view besides the same old hate. I can also tell a lot of you here don't know how to pick up a newspaper -- pick one up and they are on the net too. Be skeptical about what information someone is trying to spoon feed you. Be curious and search for yourself. Tulsa police department has had some cuts and TPD has had some of their officers sent to prison due to very unethical behavior. Just the other day a mental health patient was shot by TPD while handcuffed. Hmmm. Tulsa and Oklahoma in general needs help with this isolating effect. And not help from the Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) which feeds state legislatures laws like "Stand Your Ground" and "Transvaginal Probe" of rape/incest victims. The list is long as to what ALEC has done to this country, especially since just 2010 when the Koch Tea Party came to fruition in our state houses across the country. Wake up people, your country is going down because a few rich guys (Koch Industries) want it all for themselves. Soon your fire departments, police department, schools will be run by private enterprise. You will be paying a hefty fee for the fire department to come and clean out your meth lab. Oh and by the way, the meth lab epidemic here would go away if the state legislators would take Sudafed, etc. off the shelf like what was done in Oregon. They do not have a meth epidemic in Oregon, d'uh. Imagine that, they did not cave to the drug company lobby -- they decided to look out for their citizens in Oregon instead of selling out.

It is a black and white issue: We are called to LOVE our neighbors as ourselves, and to love others as Christ loves us. The opposite of LOVE is hate. Any action done without LOVE as the motive is hate. ANY murder or abuse of another human being is a hate crime. This is a diverse city; what's missing is the LOVE. It's very black and white.

We live with racism everyday not just from white ppl but black ppl too, we get durty looks, hateful thing said, a black woman has went as far as calling my husband a skinhead, not even taking the time to know him! He needs to speak on all racism! Ive know Alvin Watts for a better part of 17 years and my heart goes out to the familys he has torn apart and has done very wrong to but he is no racist, just really needs help with what ever is wrong in his head now!!! God is who ppl need to look to not someone that is just here for one reason! my mother raised me to love everyone no matter there color of skin, We have a rainbow of colors in my family and they have all been show the love that they should always love others NO MATTER THERE RACE

The famous race hustler comes to Tulsa. I imagine he is here to talk about the black men who killed the elderly couple a few weeks back. They raped the old woman to death and shot the old man in the face. No doubt Jackson will see to it that those horrible black murderers will get the Justice they deserve. Or do you suppose he is here to stir up a race war? I bet he isn't here to calm the waters. The democrats are pretty eager to stir up a race war or a class war. They are desperately looking for a white man murdering a black man. It is difficult because in the last month over 500 blacks have been killed nationwide but they not typically killed by white people.

What captive are we setting free, Rev Jackson? Every child is welcome to public education, criminals are hunted down and arrested. What captive? I heard you say that we showed our racial bias in Oklahoma by not having one county vote for Pres. Obama. As a life long Democrat, I voted for him. But this is a Republican state, and no one votes for a Democrat in a national election. Having raised emotions, and created passions where discretion and sympathy would better have served----are you going to stay in Turley, stay in Tulsa, stay in Oklahoma to help paint, repair, counsel, educate or teach a child how to iron a school uniform? Probably not. I wish you had stayed home.
