If you are looking to get rid of your Christmas tree or any debris from the ice storm, the Green Waste site near 56th north and Mingo is the place you can drop it off.

The green waste site was busy all weekend long with people dropping of their debris.

Truckloads of materials were piled into the lot, and people were very grateful to get it all off of their hands.

"It's really nice they are open seven days a week," said one person dropping off his debris.

Another person agreed, "It just allows us to get the debris out of our yard, keep your yard looking good, and it's a free service to the public."

Dropping your debris off at the site is a good alternative to waiting for the curbside pickup from the city.

One person decided he wasn't going to wait on the city to pick his debris up, "Last time we waited on the city and it took about five to six weeks, so we figured we would knock it out ourselves."

The Green Waste site also allows people to pick up wood chips for free, and take and chop any wood they need.

To drop of your debris is free, and it's open to the public seven days a week, except on holidays.

All Tulsa residents have to do is show a driver's license with a Tulsa address or city of Tulsa utility bill.
