It’s the search for hope that keeps Skyla’s father believing his daughter and her friend Taylor’s murder will be solved.
"That's all we can really do is keep breathing and keep living," says Whitaker.
Right now the reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest or arrests for the Weleetka murders is at $36,000. According to The Weleetkan Marvin’s Place is holding another benefit auction on June 14th to raise the amount of reward money.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations spokesperson, Jessica Brown says the agency investigates the state’s toughest cases. Over the last several years Brown says the agency has cleared 86.7% of its homicide cases. On a national average Brown says the homicide clearance rate is at 62%.
