RSU mourns death of longtime professor

Officials at Rogers State University said Dr. David Tait, an associate professor of History and Political Science, died in an auto-pedestrian crash on Tuesday.

The crash happened near Chandler, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating.

Tait began teaching at RSU in 1996. Officials say he was a valued member of the School of Liberal Arts and a mentor and passionate advocate for students.

Funeral services are pending. The school is offering grief counseling for students.
