Grammy-winning musician “Weird Al” Yankovic helped dedicate a Rogers State University campus supply closet named in his honor on Tuesday.

In appreciation for his support of RSU Public TV and the UHF25 Celebration, the supply closet in Markham Hall will now be known as the “Weird Al” Yankovic Supply Closet. “Weird Al” will be on-hand to dedicate the closet, along with “UHF” director Jay Levey and the film’s executive producer Gray Frederickson.

The supply closet was selected to honor Yankovic as a tribute to a famous scene in the cult-classic movie in which a supply closet holds an unexpected surprise.

On his Instagram account, Yankovic said it was "Perhaps the greatest honor I've ever received. Thank you, Tulsa!"

RSU Public TV is helping organize a slate of activities in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the filming of “UHF” in Tulsa. For a full slate of the activities, see
