An Ottawa County judge bound a 19-year old woman over for trial for the death of her boyfriend’s son.

Skye Reece, 19, faces a first degree murder charge for the death of 18-month old Lanceton Hollenbeck. Investigators say they were called to the child’s father’s home in Quapaw on February 11th. Investigators say Reece told them she heard a thump and found the 18-month old unresponsive on the floor.

The baby was taken to the hospital and later died from severe head trauma; investigators said doctors did not think falling out of bed caused the injuries.

It is sad that the young people these days are having children at such a young age and the child is the one that pays the price for thier wrong doing. There are so many people that can't have children and would love to have a family of thier own. I should know because I am one of those people. Some of don't have a choice. They should but the baby's up for adotion so they would have a chance at life and some who will love them unconditionally. Jude
