Thousands of people were left without power early Friday morning in Tulsa and Wagoner counties, but the power was restored around 5:30am
Reports started coming in just after 3:30am. Parts of south Tulsa were affected, along with Broken Arrow and Coweta.
Dispatchers in Broken Arrow say they got reports from residents of a loud boom, then a power outage.
PSO says a device on a power line failed, which caused a power line to fail, and the problem spread to several substations.
It's not clear what caused the device on the line to fail.
