A man ran from police during a traffic stop last night, and got away in an industrial park.

It started on Highway 75 near Independence Street around 1 AM.

When FOX23 arrived on the scene, three other people were on the side of the road. At least two of them were taken away in handcuffs. FOX23 is working to get more information from police about those three people.

Officers said this started as a typical traffic stop, then the driver jumped out, threw his 9 millimeter pistol, and hopped over a barbed wire fence.

Officers said they saw the man get tangled up in the fence, and he might have some cuts. Police searched the Cadillac for clues.

Police pulled out all the stops, setting up a perimeter around the area and bringing out the K-9 unit and helicopter, but that man still got away.
