Tulsa police arrested a suspected car thief they say took a car from a midtown QuikTrip.

Police say the victim left her car running at the QuikTrip near 11th and Sheridan on Tuesday night. Police say the suspected thief jumped in the car and drove into a nearby neighborhood.

Officers followed the car and say the suspect, Manual Villarreal, jumped out of the car and broke into a house near North Richmond and East Independence while trying to get away from officers.

Police say the homeowners flagged police down and Villarreal was arrested. He faces charges of larceny of a motor vehicle and resisting arrest.
