Muskogee police say they may know the identity of the body found in a field on Friday, but are waiting to confirm it before they release the name.
According to spokesman Pedro Zardeneta, they have identified the body based on circumstantial identifiers. They have notified the family, but are waiting to release that information.
Zardeneta says they expect to be able to release the identity later this week.
