Tulsa police say have identified a suspect in custody after an incident that they say started as a home invasion and armed robbery.

Police say 54-year old Sheila Wright was shot and taken to a hospital before being booked.

The incident started as a home in the 500 block of E. 47th street.

Officers say the homeowner called 911 to tell them a woman kicked down her door and walked in her home armed with a gun. TPD is unsure if anything was taken but the homeowner gave a good description of the suspect to police.

Two officers in a patrol car pulled her over at 3700 N. Peoria. She pulled over at first, but police say at some point officers saw a gun and felt threatened and fired at least one round into the vehicle. Police say the woman then drove away and pulled into a driveway near St. Louis & 28th St. N.

Officers surrounded the Black Escalade she was driving and asked her repeatedly to come out and she wouldn't. Police fired pepper balls into the truck, but she did not come out.

Officers evacuated the home by the driveway the Escalade was pulled up to and took two adults and two children out.

Police said neighbors heard her screaming and officers say she had been shot at least once. Officers eventually felt safe enough to walk up and take her into custody.

Police said she was taken by EMSA to the hospital to be treated and then will be booked.

Dirty sermon aka Unwashed Mass you pretty well sum up your own queries. Just to recap that "Not if you have a good workers union" . You ever really listen to these guys @ work. They don't send unseasoned rookies out on a call like this. Awwwwww she got shot. Sounds like she fit the home owners description to a T. If you can't do the time don't do the crime. Most people don't need weapons. It usually just gets them in trouble or hurt or dead. Now we have to support this queen B probably up to her death bed.

You'd think that she'd know better by now -.- she'll probably get the rest of her life to figure it out.

The victim is ID'd but what about the identity of the shooters? Do they have prior complaints?

You can shoot someone just by saying you feel threatened, but only if you have a good union.
