Tulsa police are responding to a shooting death in north Tulsa.

The call went out around 7:30 on Wednesday morning. Tulsa police say 32-year old Anthony Campbell was shot to death in the side yard of a home near 3200 N. Garrison.

TPD said Campbell was either taking out the trash or bringing in the trash cans up to the house when someone pulled up in an SUV and words were exchanged, someone in the SUV then opened fire.  Police say the victim tried to go back into the house and was shot and fell in the yard.

Police are going door to door talking to witnesses, they want to talk to anyone who saw or heard anything. Police say they have nine persons of interest. Police are questioning one person, they are not calling that person a suspect.

TPD tells us schools in the area were not placed on lock down, but they protected the area as children reported to school.
