Tulsa police arrested two men in connection to a home invasion Monday morning. One person is still on the run.
Police said three men broke into an apartment and held a family at gunpoint and used a staple gun on one of the victims.
FOX23’s Ron Terrell learned that social media led to the arrest of two of the men.
Police arrested 21-year old Angel Rodriguez and 19-year old Mario Mediano at the Whataburger at 15th and Peoria. Police also found a Dodge Challenger that had been stolen from the family there.
Police said until recently, the men lived next door to the victims, but they were kicked out when the victims reported them for drug use.
Officers believe the men came back to seek revenge. They held the three adults and a 2-year-old child at gunpoint.
“Two Hispanic males and one white male kicked in the back door of the apartment, had shotguns, demanded the stuff, ended up taking computers, laptops, and other items,” said Cpl. Brandon Disney with the Tulsa Police Department.
Police said the suspects tried to use a carpet stapler to staple one of the victim's mouths shut, but the victim ended up with just one staple in his upper lip.
That man was treated on the scene and no one else was seriously hurt.
Police found the men after Rodriguez posted that he was going to get some food at Whataburger.
Rodriguez and Mediano face numerous charges. Rodriguez' bond is more than $450,000.
The third man is still on the run, anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
