Police said they believe Zachery Caudle and one other person walked into this store and walked out with a load of cash.

Caudle's girlfriend was the clerk at the store at the time of the crime, police said.

It all started at the Pizza Hut near 21st and Harvard.

FOX23 spoke with Tulsa Police Officer Ryan Henderson, who said, "[The] suspect went in showed a gun and demanded money."

Not even 24 hours later, a midtown Kum & Go was hit, too.

Police said they weren't convinced the two stores were picked by chance.

"He had a girlfriend working there at the time of the robbery. The pizza hut robbery was the same thing.

He had a friend working there also," said Henderson.

Demetrius Joseph was the same friend that officers believe was with Zachery Caudle the second night when police say he robbed the Kum & Go store.

Police picked up Joseph at this apartment complex near 51st and Yale.

After they said he turned himself in, and not long after, they found Caudle.

Officers tell FOX23 Caudle was hiding out at a house near Pine and North Lewis.

"He finally found this family who would take him in," Tulsa Police Officer Stephen Tidwell said.

"If he needed anything he would ask them to get it. They would go to convenient stores or restaurants and get him food and he just stayed hunkered down," Tidwell explained.

Sunday, we spoke with the team who went in after him.

They said Caudle didn't put up a fight.

"I think he reached the point where he was tired of being on the road. He was just exhausted," Tidwell said.

Law enforcement is feeling the pressure, too.

"Countless hours. So, yeah, it feels pretty good to have a result at the end of all that work," TPD officer Henderson said.

Police said Caudle's girlfriend was questioned but released.

As far as the family hiding him, they said they didn't know Caudle was running from the cops, but detectives tell me they're still investigating whether or not that's true.
