Shame on Frank Wiley because he stated claimed that "instead" of helping the dogs get adopted, Sheryl went online to cause an uproar. I agree with YeahRight12, because Sheryl was not trying to get anyone angry about the volunteers who do the best they can, she was trying to get the dogs saved via her facebook community. What happened? The dogs are getting beds, Mitzi was already adopted along with 2 other dogs, last Friday (BECAUSE of the photo). So shame on Frank Wiley for not reporting the positive side of this story, how it turned into a good thing for the dogs, and how she tried desperately to get people to stop the online bickering and actually donate goods to this shelter.

okie3100: You think you know that "the lady" declined the interview? Did she? Because I happen to know, personally, that she did a phone interview because he was leaving town before she got out of work. So, why are you calling people know-it-alls, it makes me wonder if you are a teenager. But if you think that journalists don't have a responsibility to tell both sides of a story fairly, well you are just always going to be wrong and we can all just ignore your equally unfounded opinions.

To be perfectly honest, if anyone had any idea what they were talking about you would be pointing fingers at the ACO not the guy who volunteers hours per a contract for a trailer he is living in. The ACO is the one responsible for ALL of the animals in the shelter, not the volunteers or anyone else. This is the same Nowata bull, stuck on repeat. The City got rid of the previous ACO even though he was spending the majority of his time, including after hours out at that shelter trying to make sure the animals were taken care of - despite people living in the city and people who worked for the city posting hateful comments the entire time he was there. I personally think the current ACO should be locked in there with no heat over the weekend and see how he likes it since he thinks hes to good to get called out after-hours and to do anything other than sit in Cityhall while Billy was out there doing what the ACO should of been doing.

Concernedokie you have no idea what you are talking about. In the earlier video posted at 5:00 Mr. Love said they had milkhouse heaters in the shelter. It was only the gas heater that hadn't been checked yet. How do you know they don't have "to do" list, like we all do, that had that heater on it? Stop with the conjecture and assumptions and talking like you have a clue about how that city is run. Why shame on Frank Wiley? He gave the lady a chance to tell her side and she declined so he has no blame. You're just a know-it-all...

And Sheryl IS working to get these dogs adopted! She is working without rest to do so! Amend this report, because you made the concerned citizen out to be a rabble-rouser with wrong intentions!!!

Pugs and pug mixes die in extreme heat and die more slowly in the cold. Qualified pug rescues like Oklahoma's famous Outward Bound Pug Rescue could help under theses sad circumstances. How is the dog doing, may we have a picture of the animal today?

Although I do not believe in harassing or threatening anyone I do believe Mr. Love is full of bull. Today is November 19th, why was that heater not fixed before today?? It wasn't checked because he had no intentions of doing so until this story broke on facebook. You can try telling me it was because no one put a work order in on it but I don't believe that either. This should be routine every year. And shame on Frank Wiley--you obviously did not read all the post from Sheryl on facebook. She asked repeatedly that people NOT blame the caretaker or call and threaten him and there was much more that she wrote other than, "They have no heat,” said Sheryl. "So she sleeps in her food bowl to try and stay warm." What shotty reporting in my opinion.
