Tulsa's 97.5 KMOD confirms Phil & Brent, the Morning Zoo, will not come back for a finale week. The pair failed to reach a contract agreement with radio station owner, Clear Channel, last week.

The pair's original last day was set for October 12th, but officials at the radio station say KMOD will run "best of" shows this week, and the pair will not return after their scheduled vacation.

Phil Douglas and Brent Stone hosted the Morning Zoo for close to 27 years.

In a statement last week, KMOD program director Don Cristi said, "They have meant so much to me, our listeners, our clients and decades of fellow employees, that I find myself speechless and lacking the proper level of hyperbole to sum up their exit."

97.5 KMOD announced on its website Monday that the Big Mad Morning Show from 92.1 will take over the morning drive show weekdays, starting October 22nd.

Personally, I'm happy that BMMS is taking over, they have woken me up ever since I moved to OK and I'm happy for them, Phil and Brent didn't keep up to their contract requirements so they were let go, stop complaining and deal with it! Corbin and Biggie are good morning show people and thats not going to change. GO CORBIN AND BIGGIE!!!!!!!!!!!

yes the station sucks now. phil and brent mayed me laugh and feel happy every morning. down to earth eazy going, great company great guys.

I REMEMBER WHEN PHIL AND BRENT FIRST CAME ON KMOD . I LISTENED ALL THESE YEARS. ITS REALLY SAD. ANOTHER FOND MEMORY GONE.......IT REALLY SUCKS

I am sure the target demographics will suit the execs just fine. there will be plenty of 9 to 13 year old boys tuned in to hear the juvenile subject matter being spewed over the airwaves by the the 2 dorks from 92.1. Now that same crap is on three channels each morning, 92.1, 97.5 & 103. It's like you are sitting on a bus having to hear a bunch of horny, immature, opinionated fools talk so everyone can here them. I admit some of the phil & brent routines were getting tired, but now we got the other end of the spectrum. hopefully they got rid of Brent Thompson, cause he is plain obnoxious, I can't imagine any advertiser wanting him to do the voice ads..... I hope I never have to hear the morning zoo blog again, enough with the anal sex innuendos, sheez. grow up.

I no longer listen to KMOD! I would leave my radio on at night to wake up to Phil & Brents show. A few mornings before I knew what was happening, there was crap on KMOD that I thought my niece & nephew had messed with my radio. Then I went online and read what was going on. It's just not the same morning show that I enjoyed driving to work listening to. So now I have turned KMOD off. I wish Phil & Brent the best, they have made my mornings for the last 27 or so years enjoyable. Thanks for the memories!!

Have we all forgotten the fact that Phil and Brent made this decision to leave you all? Even worse after 25 years did not even have the decency to give notice or say farewell? Economy sucks and I'm willing to bet clearchannel expected this reaction and probably did everything they could to hold on to them but the cold hard truth is they left you all high and dry. I liked both morning shows, each had their own benefits and flaws and I'm no fan of clear channel and corporate bs but I do think you all need to accept it for what it is and support Corbin and biggie, they are both passionate about thier jobs and Tulsa so what may not begin as your ideal morning show will definately become it! Oh and for the love, please turn your caps lock off Tulsa!!

Clear Channel Sucks! I have listened to KMOD for 25 years now and the morning show is now disgusting. I can't believe that their crude comments and topics would ever be considered entertaining or even important to anyone with a brain! If I wanted to subject myself or my family to that kind of trash I would have listened to 92.1 the beat which sucks as well! These guys must have been found panhandling down at the the bridge of 71St and 169! Hope the top executives are happy with themselves!

All I can say about Tulsa morning radio is 94.1, 103.3, here I come. Is a sad state of affairs to see sucha class act be replaced by talentless.

I've lived in many different cities, and I've always hated the morning drive to work talk radio crap...until I moved to Tulsa and heard KMOD with Phil and Brent. I actually looked forward to listening to them. For the last year I've been working from a home office and I still listen to them while sitting at my desk working. This new morning radio show stinks to the heavens. I tried to make a go at it, but I find my self trembling with nausea. I wish things would work out where Phil & Brent were back on.
