Payne County searching for man who stole 289 pounds of copper

Officials in Payne County are searching for a man they say stole nearly 300 pounds of copper and sold it.

The Payne County Sheriff’s Office says they’re looking for 60-year old Billy Rowell from Drumright.

Prosecutors say he stole 289 pounds of copper from AT&T and then sold it. Anyone with information is asked to call the Payne County Sheriff’s Office at (405) 372-4522.
