Patsy Sutton, wife of former Oklahoma State Basketball coach Eddie Sutton, has passed away.

Officials at Oral Roberts University confirmed this afternoon that Patsy Sutton passed away today after suffering a stroke on December 20th. Her sons, Sean and Scott, are coaches at ORU. Her husband, Eddie, coached at Oklahoma State University from 1990 to 2006. Her son Sean also coached at OSU.

OSU released the following statement about Sutton's death:

“We extend our deepest sympathy to Eddie, Sean, Scott and Steve at Patsy’s passing today. She was a wonderful person who was deeply devoted to her family. While she played a quiet role, she nevertheless played a pivotal role in the success of her husband becoming one of the most respected and successful college basketball coaches of all times. And she was a strong and wonderful mother for her three sons. She will be deeply missed by her family and the Oklahoma State family. Our prayers are with the Sutton family at this time.”

Patsy Sutton was 74.
