ANADARKO, Okla. (AP) - The pastor of an Anadarko church has been found dead inside the church and police say it appears to be a homicide.
The body of 61-year-old Carol Daniels of Oklahoma City was found early Sunday inside Christ Holy Sanctified Church in Anadarko.
Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Jessica Brown says Daniels had trauma to her body, but officials did not disclose details about the killing, including how, when or where she died.
Daniels' mother, Charlesetta Dunlap, said Monday the family had no further information about the crime and wasn't ready to talk.
Investigators say they have no suspects in Daniels' death and few leads to follow.
While the church did not have a regular congregation, Brown says Daniels was there every Sunday in case people came in to pray or hear a sermon.
