There is no need for the reporter to try to explain those details because that's not the point of the story. The point is that these pit bulls have been a continued problem getting in and out of their yard and roaming the neighborhood. Putting a trash can over the hole is not fixing the fence...so if Animal control thinks that is fixing the fence then even more the reason that this story needs to be heard! Since you seem to know so much personal information about this lady and who she talks to on the phone, why don't you just go to the source instead of wasting your time on here? Go tell her how you really feel. And if you want to get technical, as for "territorial" and "ravenous" I'm pretty sure a dog can exhibit both of these behaviors at the same time, there is nothing conflicting about that fact. Like Aleman said: check the stats!

These dogs have been around and owned long before someone stupid like Vick decided to fight them, they weren't invented by him. And according to the news report, he fixed his fence. So lazy or not, apparently he isn't so careless that he actually did. OTHER eye witnesses say that the lady in the video wasn't even the owner, it was her friends, and she was calling to see if someone had xanax she could purchase. So was she more upset about the dog or the lack of pills she had on hand? In addition, her dog was still out as well. So yes it is tragic anytime someone's pet is lost, or a pet of a friend in this case. But again BOTH parties are to be blamed, in football the penalties would offset each other. So yes @ Dogs r us SHAME ON FOX, but with a parent company that is so biased, it's to be expected. And I guess since a small dog was being watched by so many people having a grand ole time on their porch sipping tea speaking of days past, I guess that if in fact a child were to be attacked there would be plenty of people to contact FOX for their 15 seconds of fame. @Dogs r us: Conveniently when the camera crew was there, they had their pit bulls inside the house. I know what a pit bull is and looks like and those were pit bulls that ate that dog. Eye Witness. Well the dogs in the privacy fence yard are not pit bulls. People are so eager to label a dog a pit bull, if it is a large breed mutt with short hair. They look to be some kind of hound or lab mix maybe with some terrier. Do you breed research people before you label a breed. Educate yourself before you judge!! Any dog can be a dangerous dog, and because a dog is not properly socialized and trained and does harm to others does not justify calling it a pit bull, it is called a "dangerous dog". And Fox 23 SHAME ON YOU for labeling this story as such, you call them Pits so People assume they are pits, Broadcast the facts not assumptions. @mrfantastic: As a neighbor and a witness to this barbaric attack on that little dog, I can assure you these pit bulls were not just "playing". It was a territorial aggressive attack on a dog that was not doing anything wrong, just sniffing around the park and Church. This pack of pit bulls smelled the little dog I guess and they charged out from their owners broken fence to attack. This Church hosts a ton of childrens' events and with them attacking a small dog for no reason other than territorial behavior they are most likely to attack a small child. These dogs have been a complaint around the neighborhood for sometime because of their freedom to come and go from their yard as they please. 4 pit bulls running around the neighborhood together is intimidating to adults, so there is no hope for a child if they turn on one. By the time Animal control shows up the dogs are back in their yard which means NOTHING can be done. The owner is a careless useless human being that is too lazy to fix his fence. I guess its going to take the dogs actually attacking and killing a child for anything to ever be done about it. They need to be put down, instead he is illegally breeding these monsters and ruining this quiet, peaceful neighborhood's reputation. So to answer your question, yes it was a pack of ravenous pit bulls on the hunt!

To hear all these pit bull owners one might think they spend all day worrying about the world when they aren't chasing butterflies and singing folk songs,like I said I had a pet rattlesnake...it loved me and I loved it but I wouldn't turn my back on it,this sums up my feelings about a breed that is born with great potential for hair trigger violence and it takes very little to bring it out,have you ever seen them fight or the results of an attack on a child?Outside of of a few nobody had these dogs until Micheal Vick got busted fighting them,then these hip hop hounds became the rage with the wannabe gang trash and white trash meth addicts,it is how people with questionable manhood feel tougher.
