Today there are 2,700 PSO customers without power, after the Summer storm on Wednesday, June 24th.
Some of the 2,700 people have physical damage to their homes that prevent power from being restored until necessary repairs are made. It could take up to two more days to get power to customers in that situation.
The original goal was to have 95 percent of PSO customers' power back on by
5 p.m. Saturday. Stan Whiteford of PSO said they have already surpassed that goal and are moving forward to get the rest of the power back on.
There are no longer neighborhoods without power. Instead, scattered pockets of houses remain without power. Whiteford said those smaller areas are the hardest to restore power to, but not to worry because the power will be on soon.
