June 6th, 2012 is the day that changed an Owasso family’s life forever.
Two-year old Rosalie Goodwin nearly drowned in a neighborhood swimming pool. She spent three months at Saint Francis Hospital.
Now, the little girl is home with her family and making remarkable progress.
"That day it was just seconds and somebody pulled her out of the pool, and I don't know how she got her floaties off or what even happened,” says Rosalie’s mother, Tiffany Goodwin.
The beautiful baby girl was rushed to Saint Francis where doctors worked desperately to get her stabilized and the water out of her lungs.
"There was a point where her heart rate and blood pressure started tanking,” says Goodwin.
Her family began to pray and believe that God would perform a miracle and breath life back into their daughter. Pink ribbons adorn the neighborhood where Rosalie almost died. Neighbors say it’s a constant reminder to them to pray for the little girl who nearly drowned.
“Just coming home everyday and seeing that ribbon still pink kept me mindful and it makes me want to cry. I’m so happy that she is still doing good and I'm grateful to hear that,” says neighbor Myechia Love.
The Goodwin family believes prayers were multiplied as Rosalie’s story spread on social media. Within weeks of the accident, her reflexes started to return and her digestion improved.
Today, Rosalie’s eyes remain closed, but her family believes she is getting better.
"She is basically as stable as she can be, and we are just waiting for God to open her eyes,” says Tiffany.
