Owasso police have gotten a private donation to buy precision rifles for the police force.

Police say they got a $30,000 donation from the Owens family and will use the money to purchase AR-15 rifles for the police department. Police say everyone on the force will get one of the rifles.

Police say the rifles will help officers have a level of accuracy they didn’t have before. The department planned on purchasing the rifles, but say now the money won’t have to come from their annual budget.

The money from police abuse cases was draining their budget. Thank god for frightened old people (with more money than sense) to come to the rescue.
