Shoppers are ready for the holiday shopping season.

"Absolutely I'm one of the people standing in the line," said Danika Turner, shopper.

Turner said she's excited about Black Friday sales but she's even more so now that she knows extra security will be provided.

"I think that it makes not only myself but others going shopping more confident in going shopping," Turner said.

She says she heard the stories and fortunately she's never been a victim of theft during the shopping season, but she knows there's people like that out here.

"There are people like that everywhere. All we can do is prevent it. We can't change those people so it's good Tulsa is getting it together and having us some protection out here," said Turner.

Mall security supervisor Doug Hinshaw told FOX23 that's what they are there for, to protect and provide assistance.

"It's good to see their smiling faces everyone shopping and having a good time feeling like their safe, that's our goal, Hinshaw said.

Turner is already set for shopping's biggest day.

"I'm so excited. I've been extra excited for this day I don't even think I'm going to sit down at the dinner table Thursday night I'm just going to be out here waiting, I'm excited," said Turner.
