Open late till' 8 is an event that takes place once a month in Broken Arrow and gives locals shops the chance to get more customers in the door.
Vendors in the Rose District told FOX23 the late hours are another way to get more customers when there are orange cones in the street.
Linda Toppins is the owner of Bella Vita on Main Street in Broken Arrow. She told FOX23 that she has had loyal customers for more than four years but the construction in the area has impacted her.
"It has definitely affected us down here but we are very expectant and hopeful as to what the changes will turn out to be," said Toppins.
Alisa Inglett told FOX23 that some months have been harder than others. She owns Your Design in the Rose District. She said that transformation of the block has been exciting to watch and that customers and residents are taking an interest.
"I've been seeing a lot more traffic," said Inglett.
Faith Cootes told FOX23 that she wasn't deterred by the construction because she wants to support local business.
"There is a lot of unique stuff out here that you just can't find anywhere else," said Cootes.
Toppins said that the temporary orange cones and cement dust will all be worth it.
Vendors on Main Street offer different discounts and deals during Open Late Till' 8. The event takes place on the first Thursday of every month.
