Oklahoma parents went to the state capitol on Monday to lobby for more education money.
Governor Fallin’s budget calls for increasing education spending by $13.5 million. The Parents Legislative Action Committee says that is not enough. The group wants lawmakers to fully fund reforms they’ve passed in recent years and replace lost revenue to schools.
The group is not asking for a specific amount, but says it will be more than the current estimates of what is needed to maintain current level funding.
