At the All State Fan Fest in New Orleans, everyone's having a blast.
There are tons of festivities offered for both Sooners and Alabama fans.
FOX23's Andrew Carter met one man who embodies what it means to be a fan
It's not uncommon for fans to show their colors but one man stood above the rest.
"I am a loyal faithful fan of my Sooners," said Mike Gillett.
There's no denying that, but Gillett doesn't enjoy it when he gets bad press.
"Bleacher Report saying OU fans were some of the rudest and they had a picture of me in there, and I'm not rude," he said.
Gillett was quite popular at Fan Fest. Everyone wanted a piece of "helmet man" but not everyone knew the meaning behind it
"I was diagnosed 12 years ago with Parkinson's and Parkinson's patient has difficulties with withdrawals and tries to hibernate, tries to stay out of attention. By doing this I'm forcing myself to stay social and stay out and have attention," he said.
"He likes to go out and be active, Parkinson's has a tendency to shut down a lot of people and slow them down, but he's stubborn and he fights that and is not gonna let that get the best of him," said Mike's son, Jeff Gillett.
Often people say sports bring people together but in Gillett's case sports bring him out and if he can stay optimistic with his battle it's no surprise he's got a message for the Oklahoma naysayers out there
"Oklahoma State was supposed to win a few weeks ago to, but the Sooners have something called Sooner magic and it's Boomer Sooner!," Mike Gillett said.
