Organizers at the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon say they are closely watching the situation following the bombing at the Boston Marathon.

In a press conference on Monday organizers said it was too early to draw conclusions and are operating as if the race will take place as scheduled on April 28th. They say they have a security plan in place and will review and amend that plan as needed in light of what is learned about the Boston incident.

Officials said they are not afraid to cancel the event if the race is threatened. They also said security will be enhanced and bomb techs on hand at the race due to the bombing in Boston.
