Tulsa police say a squad car was involved in an accident at 41st & Rockford in midtown Tulsa after a police chase that started in Sand Springs just before 9:00 Tuesday night.
After leading Sand Springs Police down the Keystone Expressway, officers with the Tulsa Police Department were called to assist with the pursuit, including use of police canine officers and TPD's helicopter.
The suspects, driving a Chevy S10 pickup truck, led officers to south Peoria, where they turned east on 41st St., and turned into the parking lot of a business. Behind that building, the passenger jumped out of the truck, but officers were able to catch him within seconds.
The suspect driver then turned back toward 41st St., but instead of exiting through a driveway, the suspect ran over the grass and the curb, and went airborne before he t-boned an officer's vehicle, with the officer behind the wheel.
The suspect drove another block, then bailed out of the truck and ran another few blocks on foot. Minutes later, a canine officer tracked the suspect to his hiding spot under a porch at a house where officers were able to arrest him.
Both suspects are being held on a complaint of assault with a deadly weapon.
The officer was transported by ambulance to OSU Medical Center where he's said to be in good condition and not seriously hurt.
