OSBI investigating death of Quapaw child

The Ottawa County District Attorney requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to open an investigation into the death of a Quapaw child.

Lanceton Hollenbeck died on Sunday in Tulsa. The one-year old was taken by helicopter to St. Francis hospital on Saturday with severe brain injuries. Ottawa County officials think he sustained the injuries while at his father’s home.

OSBI agents have examined the home and plan to conduct interviews to determine what happened to the child. The medical examiner’s office will determine the cause of death.
