The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is asking drivers to be careful during their morning commute on Wednesday.
A winter weather advisory begins in northeastern Oklahoma at 6am Wednesday possibly bringing sleet, snow and rain to the area.
An OHP spokesperson says drivers should pay special attention to bridges and overpasses which may become slick. He says drivers should also allow extra time for weather related delays on the roads and keep a safe distance between other cars.
To check road conditions, drivers can call the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety at 1-888-425-2385. For emergencies, drivers can dial *55 for roadside assistance.
