The Ranch Supply was one of the most widely used feed stores in the Nowata area.

The area has a large agriculture base. So people in the area are still depending on the goods they purchased at the store.

"It's pretty much all gone. It'll be not much left, it's all history," said Kelly Breech, a worker at the store.

He worked there for 10 years. He was in disbelief when he went in Thursday morning.

"I was here like 20 minutes after five, it was totally engulfed and had started falling in by the time I got here," he said.

FOX23's Farron Salley met with the store's owner.

"I saw the smoke about 3 miles north of here on the road as I was coming in and you could see the glow after you got a little closer to town," said Leo Dick.

He said they're still optimistic.

"Right now, we're just trying to accept what happened and then get on down the road," he said.

That's a good thing for ranchers who do live down the road and depend on the supplies.

"I was over on 169 and noticed that all the flames were up in there and come right down here and was hoping it wasn't Ranch Supply but it was the feed store," said one of those shoppers, Dennis McGehee.

"It'll hamper them a bit, there's a large agriculture community here. We sell a lot of feed out," said Breech.

Breech said this rubble used to be the home for custom feed mixing.

"We'll miss it quite a while, but as far as the mixing part, the community will still be behind us, and we'll get the store back open and carry on," he said.

"We'll be back open Monday I think, we won't have the variety we had before but we'll have the essentials," said Dick.

FOX23 learned there is a truck bringing in sacked feed Friday morning.
