Not guilty plea entered for Laird

A judge entered a not guilty plea for a teen accused of beating his mother to death.

Hank Laird was arraigned via video on Friday morning. He is charged with first degree murder for the beating death of his mother. 19-year old Josiah Sklar told police he saw Laird beat his mother with the butt of a shotgun more than 20 times.

Sklar is also charged with first degree murder. Laird will be assigned a public defender and his preliminary hearing is now scheduled for March 14th.

aleman- have you seen the movie "god bless America"? its a good movie bout how a guy who is sick with how the USA has fallen into a state of rudeness based on pop culture, talk radio, and internet influences so he just starts picking people off! lol. its a dark comedy, but kinda has a point how and what people are entertain with now days

I do hear that they test you when they get older....teen years....esp boys with their testosterone.....thats why we gotta beat our kids when they young so they fear us (respect) when they get to that age lol

@watergirl you would think he would have some kind of feelings about it. But with him beating his mother all these years it appears he has detached himself emotionally from her. Sad.....

Wonder if it has hit him yet, what he did. It would take a pretty hard core flipped out person to do that. Glad he is locked up.
