UPDATE -- The District Attorney has requested Allen Shields be held without bond.
(TULSA, Okla.) February 12- A Tulsa man now behind bars for assault and kidnapping charges will be in court today.
Allen Shields has asked the judge to reduce his bond from $1.25 million dollars.
Shields is accused of kidnapping and assaulting his ex-girlfriend inside her north Tulsa home on Monday. Her daughter was also inside the home and she called 911 from a locked room.
The district attorney has requested no bond at all and wants to keep Shields in jail.
Meantime, police tell FOX23, Shields is now being tied to the murder of Tulsa businessman Neal Sweeney.
Sweeney was shot and killed at his office in September 2008.
The killer was caught and confessed to the crime. During a hearing, a witness named Allen Shield’s brother, Fred. As a result, police say Shields is now a “person of interest” in the Sweeney case. Police believe he has knowledge of the crime.
