QuikTrip stores in Green Country will have added security, with more cameras being installed.
"Everyone goes to QuikTrip,” said QuikTrip customer Dakota Baker.
And the newest QuikTrips are bigger than ever.
"You have two front entryways, two side entryways, delivery way in the back and an expanded lot," said QuikTrip Spokesperson Mike Thornbrugh.
The bigger the store, the bigger the need to expand security so there are electronic eyes watching all the angles.
"The placement, the amount of cameras and everything else we do is completely different," said Thornbrugh.
Customers like the added security.
“More surveillance is always great,” said Baker.
If you look around at a newer QuikTrip you will see the new cameras. There are cameras inside, in the parking lot and in the back of the store in the delivery area.
"We can see you and hear you 24 hours a day,” said Thornbrugh.
And the system is much more sophisticated than the cameras you can see.
"We won’t give our blue print away to our bad guys," said Thornbrugh.
If crooks are determined to target QuikTrips, the company is determined to make sure they don’t get away with it.
"If you catch someone in the midst of doing something then I am all about it,” said Quiktrip customer Bob Sherman.
QT says it’s about keeping everyone comfortable and safe. "It's paramount to us. We will do anything and spend any amount of money to make sure the employees and customers are safe," said Thornbrugh.
While the primary security systems are in place, the company continues to test and perfect its added cameras and surveillance systems.
