A new bill is being proposed to allow kids to have more leeway when playing with guns in school.
Republican Rep. Sally Kern's measure is called the Common Sense Zero Tolerance Act."
It's in response to some school districts having policies that she says are too strict.
The bill cites a recent Maryland case where a boy was suspended after he chewed his pop tart into the shape of a gun.
