TULSA, OK -- The owner of  North Tulsa's Gateway Market says he's not letting an armed robbery incident interrupt what has been a successful operation.

In fact, Antonio Perez told Fox 23 he plans to enhance security measures to better protect customers and employees.

Perez confirmed there will be daily police presence in the store and patrol in the parking lot.

The store is already equipped with surveillance cameras, which captured video of the robber in action.

(The image to the right is a still picture from the video of the robber approaching the store's manager who was on duty at the time).

Perez says he plans to continue to utilize the cameras.

Well it's not the whole community that committed this robbery. It was one idiot. Just like the random idiots that commit crimes and robberies in South Tulsa. The whole community should not be punished for the ignorance of one individual. North Tulsa indeed deserves a grocery store just like any other neighborhood, however they need to step up to the plate with educating and making their youth and younger generations aware of their history and future if they are to survive as a people. The BS must stop if they want to thrive as a community.

yep, theyve tried the store thing once before. I figured it would get robbed shortly. So having said that, North Tulsa quit being so damn scared to report what is happening next door or right in front of you!

I predicted it would be boarded up in 2 years.

Always a good time to act...AFTER you should have. He needs to just shut it down. North Tulsa does not deserve to have anything nice until they start taking care of their own neighborhood.
