A midtown man continues to push political messages from the rooftop, and now his neighbors have something to say.
Kenny Nipp started the political speak weeks ago when he transformed his roof into a bold political statement. He and his friends painted "Obama 2012" on his roof.
I wanted to make a rallying cry for the democrats. I wanted to show them to not be afraid," said Nipp. "I can't think of a reason why I should be a republican."
"I don't know why he's a democrat. He's so intelligent," said Nipp's neighbor, Rodney Pendergrass.
Pendergrass plastered his support in his front yard, on an eight foot sign. He added lights to the display to make sure no one misses it at night.
Pendergrass and Nipp live across the street from one another.
"It's a little bit overboard, but if that's what they like that's heir business," said neighbor Dean Sutton.
Nipp and Pendergrass live a few houses away from one another, but now they're closer than they ever imagined.
Per city ordinance, both men have up to seven days to remove their signs. Nipp said he will get his roof replaced the day after the election.
