The Oklahoma National Guard's Employment Coordination Program will co-sponsor a job fair in Stillwater on Thursday.
The event will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Meridian Technology Center, Industrial Development Center, in Stillwater, and will feature more than 30 civilian employers who have vacant positions to fill.
From 10:30 to noon, the event will be open to current and former members of the U.S. Armed Forces. Individuals meeting these criteria are asked to bring a valid military ID or a copy of their DD 214 to verify their service. After noon, all job seekers, regardless of military service, will have the opportunity to visit with potential employers.
In addition to the Oklahoma National Guard, the event is being hosted by Oklahoma Military Connection and Meridian Technology Center.
"In less than two years, we have helped more than 400 current and former Servicemembers find employment," said Lt. Col. Warren Griffis, director of the Oklahoma National Guard's Employment Coordination Program. "We hope to help at least 50 job seekers find employment during this one event."
