Muskogee police arrested a mother who had drugs in her home and allegedly  sold drugs with two juveniles.

Police arrested 34-year old Christie Morales on Wednesday after searching her home and finding a eight pounds of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, like bongs and pipes.

Officers said they also found drug scales, 15 ounces of crystal methamphetamine, drug ledgers and $1,143 in cash in the home.  Some of the marijuana was in large bricks, that total street value was $1,300.

Police said an anonymous tip told them that Morales’s 16-year-old son, who was at the home during the bust participated in the consumption and sale of the marijuana.  Police said after questioning Morales she denied that and took the blame for everything in the house.

“That’s not much of a role model for the kids,” said Muskogee police Sgt. Peter Liimatta.  “They see that lifestyle, they think it’s acceptable. She took all the blame for everything, said everything was all hers.”

There were four children in the house at the time of the arrest.  Two were Morales', the 16 year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl.  The other two teenagers were friends.

One of them, 16-year-old Samantha Bramlett talked with FOX23 News.  She said no one but Morales sold the marijuana.  She also said she had been living with Morales for about two years and Morales had hurt her leg and was unable to get real work recently so she was selling the marijuana to support her family.

“Christie kind of took me in with one of her kids,” said 16-year-old Bramlett.  “She was just trying to make money for us and she bought me clothes and food; I had no where to go.  It was wrong that she did it but she did it for the right reasons.”

Police said Morales openly admitted to selling the drugs for at least a year.

“Just so disappointed that people don’t think of the consequences of what they are doing to their kids,’ said Sgt. Liimatta.

Morales faces charges of possession with intent, drug paraphernalia and child endangerment.

She was released on a $25,000 bond on Thursday.

for all you who judge..you will also be judged. Christie Morales was a bi langal person for the courts and people who needed her help, she is too young for disability and she did have a job in tulsa, it paid very good, until she lost her husband, and her leg has torn up tendions, and she has a worthless car that she cant make it out of muskogee with and doctor visits and raising kids, teenagers at that..and samantha didnt live with her the whole 2 years stright, she does have family and a home, but the utilities got so high, her parents lost their jobs, transportation, she stayed with Christy and helped her clean and cook, the parents had to stay with other family memebers until they could get things back in order, with the help of family, they are all together again, and this is not a bad mother, she loves her kids. she did what she HAD to do to people who were already doing it anyway,I never knew she was doing anything, but I can understand why, when I had nobody to help, and kids to raise, and no welfare (back then, the excuse for that was..it takes 45 days to approve your application for help), who really has that much time to wait? when you go to a welfare office, you already cry, because you have to be there, then you have to answer questions about all your life, and then you have the child support asking you about the daddy(s), and who knows those kids are his, who saw it, who heard it? then you have no food for about 1-4 weeks, and you have kids telling 'mama" I'm hungry..then what?..I even thought about prostution to feed my kids, if I had no family that happen to send me money, I probably would have done it,so whos to judge this person? Are You Perfect? No. I know your not, nobody is, and jobs just dont fly off the streets either. Social Security is what you suggested.I have an ex husband who has been applying and having a case pending for over 10 years.now what? churchs only help once a month,if that,so dont be so hard on her,she Loves her kids and their healthy

Yea thats a pathetic cop out....."trying to support her family...." Bullcrap. Get a job like everyone else.....file for disabilities....stand on the street corner with a sign for all that matter. I dont feel the least bit sorry for her. She been doing it for a year?? Dont believe that crap either. She been doing it for a lot longer than that guaranteed. If she was so worried about her family she wouldnt have exposed them to that mess in the first place.

It's sad she was simply tryin to take care of her family. The weed part isn't so bad,so what it's just weed...some people actually use it for medicinal purposes! sadly she'll spend more time for that, than the meth charge, even tho meth is more addicting and more deadly. I just hope those kids have another family member to go to!!
