Muskogee police are investigating after a man died during a fight.

Police say they were called to a fight at 3731 Club Estates on January 20th around 11 pm. They say when they got to the scene they found a man, 47-year old John Wier, in the parking lot unresponsive. Officers performed CPR until EMS crews arrived and Wier was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.

Investigators then began an investigation into what happened, so far they’ve determined Wier was in a fight with another person and collapsed and stopped breathing. The Medical Examiner will determine cause of death.

Wow. I'd hate to be in a fight with someone and then have them die on me during the fight. Here's to more peace in the new year. Try to put your hands in your pocket and walk away. The wisest words I heard came from a drunk native American friend of mine he said "Go away, I will talk to you tomorrow".
