The Muscogee Creek Nation will open a disaster assistance location in Mannford, OK to help those affected by last week’s fires that devastated more than 60-thousand acres in Creek County.
The MCN’s Natural Disaster Program will open the center in Mannford Thursday and Friday. The American Red Cross, FEMA, DHS, Salvation Army and a damage assessment team will be on hand to deliver immediate assistance. The assessment team has a list of the houses damaged or destroyed. If your home is not on that list, a representative will be on hand to go out to the burned/damaged site to make an assessment on the spot.
This service is open to everyone and anyone affected by the fires. Gift cards and mattress vouchers will be given to those in need.
All those who need assistance can go to the location in Mannford at the 1st United Methodist Family Life Center. The address is 100 East Greenwood in Mannford. Representatives will be on hand August 9 and 10, from noon until 7 p.m.
