Motorcyclist crashes into Tulsa police cruiser

A Tulsa man is behind bars after he crashes his motorcycle into a police cruiser following a chase that started in south Tulsa.

Jeremiah Gantz, 22, was arrested on several complaints including child endangerment and driving under the influence.

According to the arrest report, Gantz was first spotted on 71st near Garnett going around 80 mph in a 40 mph zone with a female passenger who was not wearing a helmet.  Gantz got on to Highway 169 after running several stop lights and the officer chose to stop the chase.

Gantz then passed another officer on Highway 169.  According to the report, that officer clocked him at around 80 mph in a 65 mph zone and exited on to 11th Street.

According to police, Gantz tried to get away from officers on 85th East Avenue, but ran into a dead end.  It was then that he made a quick U-turn and hit the police cruiser.

The female passenger was 17-years-old and was taken to a Tulsa hospital with minor injuries.

Gantz is being held on $28,600 bond.
