A mother accused of lying to police about the father of her child and causing an unnecessary Amber Alert to be issued is now charged.

Tiama Monique Brown is charged with communicating false information on a missing child. Court records allege Brown lied to the Tulsa Police Department about Charley Smith’s parental rights to her daughter.

Police issued an alert for the couple’s toddler in November of 2013 after Brown told police that Smith did not have any rights to the child. Police later learned that was not the case.

Good. I am so tired of these mothers using and abusing the system cuz they mad at their babies daddy. It takes away from the mothers and children whose lives are in real danger.
