UPDATE -- Mother Krysta Dawson, 18, has been charged with one count of manslaughter in the second degree and one count of child neglect. Shy is being held in the Tulsa County Jail.
TULSA, OK — The death 9-month-old James Dawson has been ruled a homicide. Dawson died at on November 12th after nearly drowning the previous day. Police say the child's mother left him unattended while giving him a bath.
The case was first investigated as an accident, but was later determined to be a homicide by the Child Crisis Unit.
According to the State Medical Examiner's office the boy died from multiple organ failure from lack of oxygen.
