A special type of pseudoephedrine designed to stop meth is now in Oklahoma.

FOX23 has been covering efforts to bring Zephrex-D to the state. The medicine includes a form of pseudoephedrine that turns to mush if someone tries to make meth with it.

Previously Zephex-D has only been available in Missouri. It is still sold from behind the counter.

I think it is sold exclusively to make meth is about the most worthless medicine for colds and allergies made, every time I go to the drug store there are two or three in front of me that are very obvious buying this crap for one reason ,scratching their crank bugs and trying to chew their left ear off and they sell it to them any way

It's meth resistant, not meth proof. Sort of a little white lie.

Good news for allergy sufferers and bad news for meth cooks! I am sure that this new generation of meth-deterring products such as Zephrex-D and Nexafed will do more against meth than any law: : I hope that they will get exemption soon so that we can buy our pseudo ephedrine over the counter again. Cheers, Mike
