Mental Exam Ordered For Man Charged With Murder

BENTONVILLE, Ark. (AP) — A mental exam is being ordered for a northwest Arkansas man charged with second-degree murder of an Oklahoma man.

Clifford Dale Casteel of Rogers is charged in Benton County in the death of Billy Ray Buckley of Sapulpa, Okla. Casteel has pleaded not guilty to the charge and told police he hit and kicked Buckley after Buckley hit him.

Buckley was last seen Aug. 8 at Casteel's home and was reported missing Aug. 20 by his daughter and his girlfriend.

His body was found Aug. 28 in the Monte Ne area in northwest Arkansas.
